Rice University tabs StatMonitr for 2014-15

HOUSTON, TEXAS -- Rice University will use the StatMonitr media stats system to provide real-time statistical data to media and staff for its home athletic events in 2014-15, StatBroadcast announced today.

Rice University is a private university located in Houston, Texas. Founded in 1912, Rice is a research university with an undergraduate focus, maintaining a 5:1 student-faculty ratio with an enrollment of around 6,300 students. The Rice Owls are members of Conference USA of NCAA Division-I FBS and participate in 16 varsity sports. The Rice football program has won 8 Conference titles, including the 2013 C-USA championship, and has appeared in six bowl games, most recently falling in the 2013 Liberty Bowl. Rice's baseball program is a perennial contender, having won 17 conference championships in its last 18 seasons, including the last five consecutive C-USA championships; Rice has also made 20 consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament, winning the Houston Regional in 2013, and seven appearances in the CWS, including winning the 2003 National Championship.

Rice is the thirteenth C-USA member and the 18th university from the state of Texas to partner with StatBroadcast.
